Did Jules Verne predict the Moon landing?

In 1865, the French writer Jules Verne wrote a novel called “From the Earth to the Moon”. More than a hundred years later, people really went to the Moon.

In the book, three men fly to the Moon, and they start from Florida in the USA. A hundred years later, the Apollo missions also started from Florida, with three astronauts on board.

At the end of the book, the travellers come back and land in the ocean. The Apollo capsules also landed in the ocean.

Not everything in the book was right. Verne's men used a giant gun to go to the Moon, but real rockets are very different.
