How long is the longest railway in the world?

The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest railway line in the world. It is about 9,300 kilometres long, and it runs from Moscow to Vladivostok.

The journey takes about a week and crosses seven time zones. Passengers sleep on the train, eat in the restaurant car and watch forests, rivers and lakes through the window.
