Why do LEGO bricks from 1958 still fit today?
Many adults used to play with LEGO when they were children. Now they play with their own children, and they often use the same bricks!
The Danish company LEGO started in the 1930s. At first, it made wooden toys. Later, in 1949, it began to make plastic bricks.
In 1958, the company got a patent for the modern brick with tubes inside. This new design held the bricks together very well.
The company kept the size and shape of the brick almost the same. This is why a brick from 1958 still fits with a brick made today.
So parents can give their old bricks to their children. What did you use to play with?
True or false?
