What is the tallest building?
What is the tallest building? Today the tallest building in the world is usually said to be the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It opened in 2010, and it is about 828 metres tall. It is a skyscraper with more than 160 floors. A fast lift takes people up to a place near the top, and the view is amazing. But some other buildings are planned, so the record can change.
Before Dubai, the tallest building was in other cities, for example in Taipei and in Kuala Lumpur. Many cities want to have the tallest building in their country or in the world.
How do you get to a tall building? In Dubai, many tourists go by metro, by taxi or by bus. In a small city, you can go on foot. To go to the top, you usually need to buy a ticket, and you can take the lift. It takes only a few minutes.
Not everybody likes tall buildings. Some people think that they are too big, and other people think that they are beautiful. What do you think?
