What do people drink in the world?

After water, tea is the most popular drink in the world. Tea comes from China, and there is a legend that an emperor drank the first cup of tea about five thousand years ago. People say it is only a legend, but tea is certainly very old. Today people drink tea in almost every country. In the UK, people often drink tea with milk. In Japan, they drink green tea. In Ukraine, many people drink black tea with sugar or lemon.

Coffee is also a very popular drink. People often say that the world drinks about two billion cups of coffee every day. This is an estimate, but it shows how popular coffee is. Many people have some coffee in the morning, and some people drink five cups a day!

Children like juice and lemonade. Adults often drink some juice with breakfast. Doctors say that the best drink is water, and that you should drink about one and a half or two litres a day, but it depends on the person.
