What fruit is the most popular?

What fruit is the most popular? It depends on the country, but bananas, apples and oranges are among the most popular fruits in the world. People eat them fresh, and they also drink juice.

India grows more bananas than any other country. Bananas are cheap, and you can eat one at any time. China grows more apples than any other country. An apple is crunchy and sweet, and there are thousands of different kinds. Oranges have got a lot of vitamin C, and a glass of orange juice is a popular drink for breakfast.

Not all fruits are sweet. A lemon is sour, and people put some lemon in tea or on fish. A strawberry is small and very sweet, and many people like to eat some strawberries in summer.

Fruit has got vitamins and is healthy. Doctors often say: eat some fruit every day, and eat a piece of fruit instead of a cake.
